Tracy López is a novelist and poet born and raised in Maryland just outside Washington, DC. She is the co-author of DETOUR AHEAD with Pamela Ehrenberg, a dual POV contemporary middle-grade novel that was a National Jewish Book Awards finalist, and a Kirkus Best Books of 2022. Along with writing, Tracy loves reading, creating art, and leaving books at bus stops for lucky readers to find. As a bilingual English-Spanish speaker, Tracy is grateful for the opportunities speaking another language open up, like meeting her husband Carlos, a native of El Salvador. Together they raised two boys in the beautiful mountain state of West Virginia where they now live with a silly hound dog.
